I get afraid that someone will steal my story idea, and even that they'll do better with it than I would and they end up getting published and I wouldn't.

As for the knitting, I'm not good enough yet to come up with my own patterns - though I did "design" a baby lace sock pattern that I was proud of. It isn't perfect but it was something I made up. I did put it on my blog and shared the pattern though.; 5:56 PM

I know there is wisdom in not giving away all your secrets, but I am concerned about taking it too far and then retreating into your own private world and subsequently missing out on getting input from other people.
